Having expectations for things that aren’t in your control is a recipe for disappointment. Especially when it comes to relying on other people-well, you just can’t.

This is probably one of my biggest faults.

But it isn’t limited to this. It is also expectations of myself/yourself/oneself. Most self expectations come from observing and comparing ourselves to other people. Super unhealthy habit.

Expectations are very much self-imposed. Drop the expectations and focus on the experience and the exploration.

Like most things it is easier said than done-& I don’t have a solid answer.

But I’m working on it.

Part of if has to do with focusing on the now. What am I able to do now. What is able to happen now.

As for the other part…

like most things

…it will come with time.
