Other than the Tetons and Yellow Stone National Park…Wyoming is a whole lot of flat nothing. However, we found the one other thing you would [maybe] go to see in this state-a magma blob, aka Devil’s Tower. It was created underground, then it cooled and the area around it eroded away. So basically the ground used to be higher than this formation. Now of course that took millions of years of slow erosion, according to people who are smarter than I.
It’s roughly 1,300 ft.
There are also “sand rats” but watch out, they carry the plague. That clearly didn’t affect our decision making.
Tetons and Yellow stone–definitely on the list of things to see because I roll out the west.
