Just a quick reflection before the clock strikes twelve.

I was in Longmont, Colorado. I didn’t have a whole lot going on, but a few days before I had an interview with the University of Colorado, Boulder for an RA position. You see, I had found this lab online and simply emailed them in hopes of collaboration. I didn’t think much of it. But life is surprising. Within 48 hours I found out that the position was mine and I was to start mid-January. This was the icing on my resume I had been waiting for before I committed to applying to Graduate School. So instead of raging, I sat next to the fireplace and started writing my first personal statement. Actually, I had a completed draft by 1:30am. 🎉

One semester of school is complete! A lot of ass was kicked to get here. I had so many wild adventures out in Colorado, and met many incredible humans.  I am feeling very gracious and whole. While the end of 2018 was unkind, I’m actively trying not to let that define my year. Here’s a recap! Cheers to doing the same shit next year!
